We are excited to celebrate the 18th year of the Dane County Alzheimer's Walk, ADAW's longest running event, to continue our mission to raise awareness and reduce stigma of dementia in the community.
We are honored to welcome Senior Helpers as the Platinum Presenting Sponsor. When asked to share some of the reasons why Seniors Helpers is walking this year, Executive Director Gil Atanasoff replied, "Our missions (Senior Helpers and the ADAW) are aligned...we truly do specialize in Alzheimer's and dementia care." Atanasoff went on to say, "We are proud to sponsor the walk, as well as participate and encourage our team to walk, to support the 120,000 people with dementia in Wisconsin - roughly 25,000 of those living right here in South Central Wisconsin." And finally, "walking is good for you!" And we'd like to add, FUN too!
Step forward and give hope to individuals and families touched by dementia by joining Senior Helpers at the Dane County Alzheimer's Walk on Saturday, September 24 at the Warner Park Shelter in Madison.
