Walk with our team in this year's Step Forward Give Hope Alzheimer's Walk, to help people facing Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. This year's walk will be not take place as a large event, but rather each team member pledging to participate by walking any time before September 26th, 2020. Even though we will be socially distanced, we can still step forward together to give hope to our residents living with Alzheimer's and other memory loss conditions.
Although Alzheimer's is not a normal part of aging, the risk of developing the disease increases with age. Current research from the National Institute on Aging indicates that the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease doubles every five years beyond age 65, with one in two people over 85 affected.
The Alzheimer's & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin helps people in Wisconsin as they face every stage of this disease, a commitment they have maintained for more than 30 years. Help our team reach our goal by making a gift today.
