2019 Columbia/Marquette County Alzheimer's Walk

Team Joan

Support our team in this year's Step Forward Give Hope Alzheimer's Walk, to help people facing Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia.

Although Alzheimer's is not a normal part of aging, the risk of developing the disease increases with age. Current research from the National Institute on Aging indicates that the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease doubles every five years beyond age 65, with one in two people over 85 affected.

The Alzheimer's & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin helps people in Wisconsin as they face every stage of this disease, a commitment they have maintained for more than 30 years.  This group and the ADRC of Columbia County have personally helped our family throughout our mother/grandmother's 10 year journey with Alzheimer's disease.  Our father was able to benefit from the many programs as her caregiver. We are walking this year in memory of our mother/grandmother, Joan.

Please help our team reach our goal by making a gift today.  We hope to help out other families who may be taking that same journey we have taken.
