Walk with me in the Step Forward Give Hope Alzheimer’s Walk to help people facing Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.
Although Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging, the risk of developing the illness rises with age. Current research from the National Institute on Aging indicates that the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease doubles every five years beyond age 65, with one in two people over 85 affected.
Both of my parents were afflicted with this terrible disease. It is so hard watching a loved one shrivel up inside, many times not knowing where they are and who you are. I know that I also could end up this very same way and I do not want to put my children through that.
The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin helps people in Wisconsin as they face every stage of this disease, a commitment they have maintained for over 30 years.
Help me reach my goal by making a gift today.
