Welcome to My Personal Page
As you know, I lost my Mom to this terrible disease. My Mom was an amazing woman and watching her struggle with this disease for almost a decade was heartwrenching. She always maintained her dignity and pride as well as her beautiful smile, even as she lost the ability to recognize her family and friends. I will be eternally grateful that God gave my sisters and I the gift of spending her final days with her. She was always my angel on earth and now she is my angel in heaven. I have no doubt she is enjoying her freedom to play the piano, talk and tell her corny jokes to all in heaven!
Please help me by either joining me in walking this year or with a contribution so that a cure can be found for this disease.
Although Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging, the risk of developing the illness rises with age. Current research from the National Institute on Aging indicates that the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease doubles every five years beyond age 65, with one in two people over 85 affected.
The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin helps people in Wisconsin as they face every stage of this disease, a commitment they have maintained for 25 years.
Help me reach my goal by making a gift today.
