Dear Friends and Family,
I signed up once again to participate in a very special event-The Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance's Wisconsin Memory Walk. The walk is in 7 days!
More than five million Americans are currently living with Alzheimers Disease. By 2050 this number could triple to 16 million. I have a family history of AD with my maternal grandmother, and a rising number of friends whose parents have AD and other dementias which gives me all the more motivation to support organizations that reach out to those suffering and their families to provide support and needed resources. I am also professionally connected to the disease through my work at UW-Health Geriatrics Clinic where we assess, treat and counsel patients and families living with this diagnosis. Lastly, the WI Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, the team that I am walking with, has gifted scientists doing cutting edge research dedicated to ending this disease.
I am so grateful to my generous friends and family who have already made donations. If you've thought of contributing, there is still time to help this very amazing and worthy organization. Help me surpass my goal by making a gift today. Any amount you can give makes a difference !
