The Milford McCauley Family
Our family will be walking for the 8th year in the Alzheimer's Walk at the UW Richland on Sunday, September 22, 2019 to help people facing Alzheimer's or another form of dementia. We are walking in memory of our Dad/Grandpa, Milford McCauley. He died on July 31 , 2010 after struggling with Alzheimers for several years.
Although Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging, the risk of developing the illness rises with age. Current research from the National Institute on Aging indicates that the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease doubles every five years beyond age 65, with one in two people over 85 affected.
The Alzheimer's & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin helps people in south central Wisconsin as they face every stage of this disease, a commitment they have maintained for 25 years.
If you are able, we would ask you to help us help others who struggle with this unfortunate disease by making a gift in any amount before the walk on October 1.
